Kingston: The company is the world's largest memory module supplier in 2021, topping the list for 19 consecutive years

IT House September 7 news, independent memory products manufacturer Kingston Technology Corporation announced today that it is the world's largest memory module supplier in 2021, according to the latest ranking by revenue from analyst firm TrendForce (formerly DRAMeXchange). Kingston maintained its No. 1 position with $14.2 billion in revenue and a 78.7 percent market share. TrendForce noted that Kingston's revenue grew 8% year over year, marking the 19th consecutive year that Kingston has maintained its No. 1 position. According to the report, the world's top five memory module suppliers will account for 90% of total sales in this market in 2021, with Kingston accounting for nearly 80% of the market. As one of the world's leading buyers of DRAM chips, Kingston offers a highly customized production model that continues to grow its shipments and drive revenue growth of 8%. TrendForce noted that lifestyle changes caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and growing demand for distance education have driven the growth in DRAM module shipments over the past two years. Kingston's approach is to prepare for these segments. IT House learned that Kingston itself does not produce NAND chips, nor does it have a production line for memory chips. It buys memory chips from Samsung, Micron or other flash memory chip suppliers, and the quality of memory is not only related to chips, but also control chips and circuit design. and so on.
