The European factory of NIO Energy is located in Biotor Baggy, Pest State, Hungary, covering an area of ​​about 10,000 square meters. It is the first factory built by NIO overseas and is also the European manufacturing center, service center and R&D center for NIO products. . According to the Economic Daily, Qin Lihong, co-founder and president of Weilai Energy, said at the offline ceremony that it took only 7 weeks for the European factory of Weilai Energy from the announcement of the construction of the factory on July 29 to the offline of the first power exchange station. In the next step, NIO will increase its investment in Hungary and establish the operational fulcrum of NIO's European strategy here. Weilai's official Weibo said that Weilai will accelerate the energy layout in the European market and provide European users with more convenient power-up services. Currently, NIO's European factories can build about 20 swap stations per month. By 2025, NIO plans to build 1,000 swap stations in markets outside China.
