Apple announces increased fees for apps and in-app purchases in euro currency regions

Apple announced today that prices for App Store apps and in-app purchases will increase in all countries and regions that use the euro starting as early as October 5, due to the current weakness in the euro against the U.S. dollar. The official announcement states that prices for apps and in-app purchases (excluding auto-renewing subscriptions) on the App Store in the following regions will increase as early as October 5, 2022: Chile, Egypt, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Poland , South Korea, Sweden, Vietnam, and all regions that use the euro currency. In Vietnam, the associated price increase reflects new regulations that require Apple to withhold and pay applicable taxes, including 5% Value Added Tax (VAT) and 5% Corporate Income Tax (CIT). Your earnings will be adjusted accordingly and will be calculated based on tax-exclusive prices. Appendix B of the Paid App Agreement will be updated to indicate that Apple collects and remits applicable taxes in Vietnam. The "Price and Availability" section in My Apps will be updated as soon as the above changes take effect. You can change the prices of your apps and in-app purchases (including auto-renewing subscriptions) at any time in App Store Connect. If you offer a subscription program, you can choose to keep the current price for existing subscribers.
