iPhone 14 Pro users experience issues with CarPlay calling

After last week's launch of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, some early adopters of the devices reported a problem they couldn't hear at the proper volume when making a phone call via CarPlay in the car. Affected users have documented the issue over the past three or four days on MacRumors forums, Reddit, Twitter, and the Apple tech support community. Most users reported that when calling someone via CarPlay on their iPhone 14 Pro or iPhone 14 Pro Max, their voice sounded soft or sounded like it was coming from a great distance. It is understood that most complaints come from users of iPhone 14 Pro or Pro Max running iOS 16.0.1, although at least one user said the problem seems to affect the base model iPhone 14 as well, and there are also comments that downgrading to iOS 16.0 did not help. MacRumors tested the problem with an iPhone 14 Pro running iOS 16.0.1 on a 2022 Honda Civic, and it turned out that netizens really responded. However, this problem did not occur when using the same device in the car for a normal hands-free Bluetooth call. It's unclear what caused the issue or how many users were affected, but it appears to be another bug affecting iPhone 14 models. Apple is already planning to release an iOS 16 update next week to fix iPhone 14 Pro models' rear cameras vibrating uncontrollably in certain apps, iPhone 14 Pro models freezing after transferring data from another iPhone, excessive copying and Paste permission prompts and other issues.
